By now you have probably heard the buzz around Baypointe Church about the departure of Pastor Jeremy and all the excitement that goes along with it. We are very excited for him and his family and all that this amazing opportunity holds.
When I began to talk about moving to Panama City Beach to plant Baypointe Church, Jeremy was a major part of it. He has been since the beginning, and while he has had major roles within the church, it was always the plan for him to learn church planting and one day go out and plant a new church himself. We figured on a 3-5 year plan to get him ready and that time has now come!!
Pastor Jeremy and Charity have accepted the call to plant a brand new church in Lakeville, Minnesota. Their last day at BPC will be March 30, 2014 and they will be moving soon after that. This will be a huge transition for them, and we would covet your prayers for them. Instead of bringing hope to the beach, they will be bringing hope to the snow!
As for his and Charity’s roles at BPC, the staff and DLT have already been making plans to transition their responsibilities to other people. The one major role, leading worship, will be the toughest to fill and we are currently looking for individuals that are called, talented, and willing to take on this role and the expectations that go along with it. If you know of anyone, have them send their resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
While I know that many of us will be sad, this is a very exciting time. Pastor Jeremy and Charity will be heading to a new area to start a healthy church to spread the message of forgiveness through Jesus to people who need it. This is what has been the plan all along and we are ready to see all that God does through their lives.
Be excited! Be confident! Be ready for all that God has in store!
Find life…live grace…become hope.
