Do Compassion. Be Compassion. Make compassion more than an emotion…make it a verb. We can change our community in numerous ways, and we have two major opportunities this month.

First is the Angels 4 Education Spring Break Initiative. For those of you that don’t know, there are around 200 children that live here on the beach that are either homeless, or in severe need. Children. Kids. Babies. The vast majority of them only eat when they are at school, which makes spring break a nightmare for them. They are not celebrating, they are starving. We can not sit by and not do something. So we are collecting food from now until the 19th to provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for these kids. Here is a list of options:

Ramen noodles

Mac & cheese

Soup/stew/chili

Peanut butter

Chef Boyardee varieties

Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)

Oatmeal

Grits

Pop-tarts

Granola bars

Cereal bars

Gummies

Snack crackers

Fruit cups

Applesauce

Chips

Capri Sun

Hug drink bottles

You can bring items throughout the week or on Sundays. We only have two weeks so we have to get it going!

The second opportunity will be Serve Bay Sunday March 22nd. On this Sunday, we will be going as a church to help rebuild a shelter for transitioning women. There will be projects that day for all skill sets, including kids. All you have to have is a willing heart, and the desire to help others. More details to come, but make plans to be here on this special day.

Be compassion. Do compassion.
